The NACAC Cross Country Championships take place this Saturday (February 22) in Trinidad & Tobago. As in years past, the United States is sending a strong contingent of senior and junior athletes, all with a chance to bring home the gold.

On the women's side, Oregon athletes are set to be key contributors. On the senior women's team, Carrie Dimoff (Portland) joins a strong group, led by USA cross country champion Amy Van Alstine. For Team USA's junior women's squad, University of Oregon freshman Maggie Schmaedick (Eugene) eyes a top five finish.

In the men's field, USA Club Cross Country champion Joseph Gray leads the senior men's field, while USA Cross Country junior men's champion Sean McGorty leads a very strong junior men's team.
