Portland Athletes Shining Bright WORLDs
Mo Farah (Nike Oregon Project) kicked off the Portland-based medal count winning gold in the men's 10,000, but it was the surprise performance of Emily Infeld (Bowerman Track Club) that really got Portland track fans excited, as the young star (and reigning PTF 5k champion) grabbed bronze in the women's 10,000m.
The Bowerman Track Club had a good 20 minutes Monday morning, as Infeld and Shalane Flanagan placed third and sixth in the 10,000m, followed by Daniel Huling and Evan Jager scoring 5-6 finishes in the 3,000m steeplechase.
Keep checking back as we highlight the action of Portland's and Oregon's best track and field athletes at the IAAF World Outdoor Championships.
