FAQ

Help! I can’t figure out registration!

Registration on Athletic.Net is a 3 Step Process

1. Create or Claim existing profile

2. Add Meet to the athlete profile

3. Go into profile and click register

See the below links for registration assistance. If you’re still confused, shoot an email to support@athletictiming.net for help from the experts.

I’ve never raced on a track before - should I come?

YES! That’s what the Summer Series is for! All are welcome in this low-key environment. We will explain each event clearly, there are no entry standards, and the series is open to all ages and all abilities. Our hope is that this fun environment encourages folks who may otherwise not consider racing on the track to try something new and (hopefully) discover a love for track and field!

Is there same day registration?

Yes, there is same day registration, but it is highly encouraged to register in advance. Please arrive early in case there is a line of folks registering same day - you want to be sure you have time to warm up and prepare for your race after getting signed up! If you are able to register ahead of time, that will keep things moving smoothly.

Can a person run multiple events? How does that affect registration fees?

Yes, you may run as many events as you’d like! The registration fee is for the meet as a whole, so running additional events does not increase the cost - $10 for adults, $5 for 18 and under.

Can an individual register for a relay?

Athletic Timing was created to facilitate  school-based meets, so designated coaches are the users who are able to set up relay teams. If you’re an athlete on a HS or college team that is set up for registration through Athletic.net, your coach can put together a relay team. If you aren’t, or if this is something you’re doing separately from your team, same day sign ups for the relays will take place at the track! This is likely the easier way to get signed up for relays.

How will heats be determined?

In the all-comers meet format, heats will be determined based on seed time. All genders will run together, unless a community member is needing to post a time for a purpose that does not allow mixed-gender races (some qualifying standards are not valid if women to run in male-paced races). Unless one of those situations occurs, heats will be determined strictly based on time.

What is the schedule for the meet? How do I know what time my heat will be running?

The order of events is listed on athletic.net. Each race will begin with the kids 100m at 6pm and end with the relay on a rolling schedule. The timing of subsequent events will be determined by the number of heats for each event, which is determined by the number folks registered.

I’m a coach and was wondering if a different event could be added to the schedule. Is that possible?

This series is meant to serve the community. If there’s something you’d like to see added, we will do our best to add it, if you’re willing to take responsibility for that event! For field events, we ask that you provide implements and the appropriate officials. Email lauren.ross.rd@gmail.com with inquiries.
